EUSTAR Database

The main research tool of EUSTAR is our bespoke multi-centre database, that currently contains 23,000+ patients with SSc from across the world, thanks to the work of our fantastic EUSTAR centres! Annually scheduled medical visits are recorded, providing demographic information and longitudinal disease specific and treatment data, including:

  • Disease subsets
  • Autoantibodies
  • Disease signs and symptoms
  • Disease duration
  • Organ involvement
  • Laboratory results
  • Test results
  • Patient reported outcome measures

EUSTAR centres can apply for access to an anonymised dataset from the EUSTAR database for use in a specific clinical project, find out more about this on our Clinical Projects page.

Database Provider

Our database is hosted on the Medidata Rave EDC (Electronic Data Capture) platform, and the EUSTAR team are continually making improvements to the database to improve the usability and functionality for users leading to improved data quality and completeness.
