Call for contribution for : “100 Cases in Nailfold Capillaroscopy,”Springer Nature book | RSVP 13/10/2025 |

Dear Colleagues,
I would like you to contribute to our upcoming book, “100 Cases in Nailfold Capillaroscopy,” to be published by Springer Nature under the “Contemporary Rheumatology” series. We have a dedicated chapter for interesting clinical cases, and we believe your expertise would greatly enrich this publication.
Each colleague is welcome to contribute one or two clinical cases on nailfold capillaroscopy. The expected format for each case presentation should include:

  • Patient’s history and clinical examination, including current medications if appropriate.
  • Outcome of investigations.
  • Nailfold Capillaroscopy (NFC) pictures.
  • Figures (NFC, HRCT, clinical signs such as sclerodactyly, facial changes, etc.).
  • Questions to challenge the reader regarding possible findings and outcomes.
  • Discussion.
  • Key learning points.
  • References.

Please provide the pictures separately in JPEG or PNG format. The case report should be 2-4 pages in length.

The deadline for submission is October 15, 2025.

Systemic Sclerosis (SSc) specialist wound care services and utilization of Sharp Debridement for Digital Ulcers (DU) treatment

This worldwide survey is part of a PhD research project in Medical Sciences at the University of Almeria (UA), Spain and the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine LIRMM, University of Leeds, UK.

The aim of this survey is three-fold, to capture the number centres providing wound care services for patients with Systemic Sclerosis (SSc) and Digital Ulcers (DUs), to identify clinicians who use Sharp Debridement as local wound care treatment for DUs, and to identify centres which would like to collaborate in a definitive Multicentre Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) assessing the effects of Sharp Debridement in DU healing and complications.
